Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.

Yoga therapy has the potential of bringing relief to your symptoms or otherwise, just balance the following:
  • Musculoskeletal issues
  • Lower back and other pains
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Cardiovascular diseases
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Nervous system and degenerative diseases
  • Digestive and intestinal problems
  • Hormonal and immune system imbalances
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Reproductive system

Yoga therapy focuses on human health and wellbeing on a physical, mental and spiritual level.

It holistically integrates the teachings of Patanjali’s yoga tradition and the concepts of Ayurvedic medicine, as well as Western medicine and psychology. Ideally, yoga therapy is preventative but it can also serve as a complementary form of treatment. The aim is to alleviate symptoms and increase the potential for gaining more balance, vitality and an overall healthier attitude.

The sessions assess appropriate exercises with the needs of the individual in mind and focuses on personal empowerment. The idea is to have asanas, breathing exercises and yoga nidra as useful tools that we can incorporate into our daily lives and to have more support living with potential pain and illness.

I am starting case studies so I offer yoga therapy at a discount

I am currently studying remotely to become a yoga therapist at the Yoga Therapy Institute in Amsterdam, which is recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists organization. My plan is to be certified by the end of 2023.

The case studies are discussed with a mentor at the Yoga Therapy Institute. These discussions and everything that happens during the yoga therapy sessions are confidential. Commitment includes five 90-minute sessions. If you are interested, please contact me.
